Game one recap

No doubt about it, kids playing in the opening night of the 2nd grade Spring Flag Football league showed how tough they are. Temperatures were near freezing at Rochester High School. The Raiders and Packers overcame the windy, wet and cold weather in route to a 12-12 tie. It was a worthy outcome for both sides. The Packers twice had leads but the Raiders answered with tying scores. First Stavie Panos connected with Drake Faust on a long pass for a touchdown. Then, on the games final play, Richard " the rocket" Kearney scampered at least half the field for the tying score. However, on the extra point, the Raiders couldn't connect on a short pass and the game ended in a tie. Hopefully week two will provide better weather. Early reports show temperatures cold again but no rain! Thank GOD.
